Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Xpress Route Permits, LLC ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on xpressroutepermits.com. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. They help the site remember things about your visit — like your preferences, what's in your cart, or which step of an order form you're on — and let the site work properly. Other technologies like pixels, web beacons, and local storage do similar things.
What we use them for
We group the cookies we use into four categories, which match the categories in our cookie banner:
Essential cookies make the Site work. They handle things like remembering your shopping cart, keeping your place in the multi-step permit order form, and remembering your cookie preferences. You can't opt out of these without breaking the Site.
Personalization cookies remember your preferences so the Site feels familiar across visits. These are optional.
Analytics cookies help us understand how people use the Site — which pages are popular, how long visitors stay, where they come from. We use this information to improve the Site. Our analytics provider is Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager.
Marketing cookies measure whether our advertising is working and may be used to show you relevant ads. We use Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing. We do not currently use the Meta Pixel.
Specific cookies we use
The list below covers the most common cookies you may encounter on the Site. Specific cookies in use can be inspected in your browser's developer tools (Application → Cookies).
- Webflow session and cart (wf_…, __Secure-…) — Essential — site session, shopping cart, and order form state
- Cookie consent (Finsweet fs-cc) — Essential — remembers your cookie preferences
- Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_…) — Analytics — usage analytics
- Google Ads (_gcl_au, _gcl_aw) — Marketing — ad conversion measurement and remarketing
- Stripe (__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid) — Essential — fraud prevention during checkout
This list isn't exhaustive — third-party embeds (videos, maps, review widgets) may set their own cookies.
How to control cookies
You have several ways to manage cookies:
- Cookie banner. When you first visit the Site, the cookie banner lets you accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookies. Non-essential cookies are not set until you accept. You can change your preferences anytime by clicking Cookie Settings in the footer.
- Browser settings. All major browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Search "manage cookies in [your browser]" for instructions.
- Opt-out tools. For analytics and advertising cookies, you can use Google Analytics opt-out (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), Google Ads settings (adssettings.google.com), the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out (optout.aboutads.info), or "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control browser signals, which we honor where technically feasible.
If you block essential cookies, parts of the Site — including checkout and the permit order form — won't work.
For visitors in the European Union
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, we obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies. The cookie banner gives you the choice to accept all, reject all, or customize your preferences. You can withdraw consent at any time through the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as we add or remove tools that use cookies. Changes will be reflected in the "Effective date" above.
